Some PLS member libraries subscribe to additional online resources. Anyone can access these resources in the library that owns them, but for home access you need a library card and a residence in that library's jurisdiction. Associations Unlimited

The premier source for associations - use this database to locate approximately 460,000 international and U.S. national, regional, state, and local nonprofit membership organizations in all fields, including IRS data on U.S. 501(c) nonprofit organizations. The database is also used to monitor association trends; identify related associations; networking and making professional contacts; marketing to associations, their members and markets.

Biography Resource Center

InfoTrac Custom Full Text Newspapers Database provides quick access to the indexing of 100+ custom newspapers in one seamless search.

Digital Book Library

Digital books are electronic versions of print books. They include downloadable audio books for listening and eBooks for on-screen reading. Both digital audio books and eBooks can be used on a variety of devices such as PCs, laptops, and supported PDAs. You can even copy the audio books from your computer onto CD's and listen to them in your car. This site offers digital audio books in the OverDrive Media Console™ format, and eBooks in the Adobe® Reader® and Mobipocket Reader formats. (Sorry, iPod is not supported at this time.)

Expanded Academic ASAP

From arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology, this database meets research needs across all academic disciplines. Indexes 1,900 titles, 900 are full-text. Some of the areas covered include astronomy, religion, law, history, psychology, humanities, current events, sociology, communications, and the general sciences. Coverage extends as far back to 1980 for some titles. A journal list, with coverage dates, is available.

History Resource Center: U.S

The History Resource Center: U.S. provides access to over 1,000 historical (primary) documents, more then 30,000 reference articles, and over 65 full-text journal covering themes, events, individuals, and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present.

History Resource Center: Modern World

Covering the 20th Century, the History Resource Center: Modern World includes reference sources, full-text articles from more than 100 academic journals, maps and images, and full-text and facsimile images for over 1,400 primary source documents.
